The World Geography Bee Contest

The World Geography Bee to be held at Wilson Elementary on September 24th. The Geography Bee will begin at 4:00 on the Main Stage at Culturfest. Students should report to the Welcome tent at 3:15. The Bee will be facilitated by OJHS teacher Kent Buryska.


All children will be asked to answer the same question, and will record their answers on a white board. Participants will not be eliminated from the Geography Bee until they have provided three incorrect answers, and inaccurate spelling will not be counted as an incorrect response. Once 3 students remain, single incorrect answers will result in elimination. This process will continue until a winner is determined.

Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third place, and a photo of the winner will be submitted to the Owatonna People's Press.
